As every year, National Geographic is hosting a contest for the best photos of the past 12 months.
In this year’s competition more than 12 000 images from 152 photographers from 6.615 countries.
The author of the winning photo is Cedric Houin and is called the “Butterfly”, it was done in Afghanistan.
