In North Korea, the lives of all citizens is controlled centrally.

Even so personal as it seemed to be matter as the haircut is subject to authorities trying to control.
They just released catalog of 18 hairstyles for women and only 10 haircuts for guys that are “recommended” by the authorities of North Korea.
